Special Categories of <em>Information<\/em><\/h2>\n <p>POPIA affords additional protection to “special personal information”, which includes information relating to religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political opinion, health or sex life, biometric information, and criminal behaviour.<\/p>\n <p>We do <strong>not<\/strong> routinely collect or process special personal information. In the exceptional circumstances where this may be required (for example, during certain HR or transformation consulting engagements), we will:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Obtain explicit, specific consent prior to collection<\/li>\n <li>Process such information only to the minimum extent necessary<\/li>\n <li>Apply heightened security measures to its storage and handling<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"lp-section\" id=\"sharing-popia\">\n <h2>8. Sharing & <em>Cross-Border Transfer<\/em><\/h2>\n <p>We may share personal information with third-party operators (as defined in POPIA) who process information on our behalf. Security <em>Measures<\/em><\/h2>\n <p>In terms of Section 19 of POPIA, we maintain appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational security measures to prevent loss, damage, unauthorised destruction, and unlawful access to personal information.<\/p>\n <p>Our security measures include:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Encryption of personal information transmitted over the internet<\/li>\n <li>Role-based access controls limiting internal access to personal information<\/li>\n <li>Regular staff awareness and data protection training<\/li>\n <li>Use of reputable, POPIA-compliant third-party service providers<\/li>\n <li>Documented data processing and retention policies<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"lp-section\" id=\"breach\">\n <h2>11. Special Categories of <em>Information<\/em><\/h2>\n <p>POPIA affords additional protection to “special personal information”, which includes information relating to religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political opinion, health or sex life, biometric information, and criminal behaviour.<\/p>\n <p>We do <strong>not<\/strong> routinely collect or process special personal information. In the exceptional circumstances where this may be required (for example, during certain HR or transformation consulting engagements), we will:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Obtain explicit, specific consent prior to collection<\/li>\n <li>Process such information only to the minimum extent necessary<\/li>\n <li>Apply heightened security measures to its storage and handling<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"lp-section\" id=\"sharing-popia\">\n <h2>8. Sharing & <em>Cross-Border Transfer<\/em><\/h2>\n <p>We may share personal information with third-party operators (as defined in POPIA) who process information on our behalf.
